I hear you girl. We are going through a heat wave right now. Not quite as extreme as Kamloops but still ... Everyone keeps complaining about the heat and I just think back to summers before I moved to Alberta and it makes me feel less hot ;) I remember frying and egg on the side walk first thing in the morning it was so hot my last summer there.
